What is Wild Card?
Wild Card is a student discount card built by students, for students. One annual membership unlocks exclusive deals at dozens of partner venues across Durham, Newcastle and Loughborough — restaurants, bars, gyms, hair & beauty, retail and more.
How much is membership?
Wild Card costs £15 for a full year of unlimited use. There are no hidden fees, no per-transaction charges, and the card pays for itself the first time you go out.
Who can join?
Any full-time or part-time student aged 16 or over. We may ask for a valid student ID or matriculation number at sign-up.
How do I use my discounts?
Open the Wild Card app, tap the membership card, and show it at the till — or just give your name to the venue staff. You'll get the offer instantly, no codes to remember.
Where can I use Wild Card?
Anywhere with the Wild Card sticker in the window. Browse the full partner list inside the app or on the Offers page of this site.
Can I use the same offer more than once?
Most offers are unlimited use for the lifetime of your membership. A small number are introductory or weekly — those are clearly marked in-app.
What if a venue won't honour the discount?
Drop us an email at info@thewildcard.uk with the venue name and date and we'll sort it. We work directly with every partner so it's usually a quick fix.
I lost my phone — what happens to my membership?
No problem. Reinstall the app, log back in with the same email, and your membership and points are exactly where you left them — they're tied to your account, not the device.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase provided you haven't used the card. Email info@thewildcard.uk to start a refund.
