How linking works

Tap Link Bank in the app
Settings → Banking → Link a bank. The Wild Card app opens a secure browser to our regulated open-banking provider.
- 02
Choose your bank and approve
Sign in to your bank with their own app or web login. Your bank then asks you to approve read-only access to Wild Card.
- 03
Done. You don’t have to do anything else
We pick up matching transactions and quietly credit cashback. You can unlink at any time, from inside Wild Card or directly with your bank.

Transaction amounts, dates, merchant names and the account a transaction belongs to — only after you give consent.
We can never
Move money, make payments, change your bank settings, see your balance in real-time, or share your data with partner venues.
Regulated by the FCA
Open banking access is provided by Sientia (FCA register 902879), an Authorised Payment Institution under PSD2.
Consent lasts 90 days
Under PSD2 rules your bank re-asks for consent every 90 days. You can also unlink instantly from inside Wild Card.
Delete when you want
Unlinking a bank deletes the transaction data tied to it from our servers within 7 days. No archived copies.
Data stored in the UK
Your linked-bank data is stored on UK-based infrastructure, encrypted at rest and in transit.
Questions, answered.
Is open banking safe?
Yes. Open banking is a UK-regulated framework that gives you, the bank account holder, the right to share your data securely with FCA-registered third parties. You authorise it directly with your bank — Wild Card never sees your login details. Our provider, Sientia, is an Authorised Payment Institution regulated by the FCA.
Can Wild Card move money from my account?
No. The connection we request is read-only ('account information services'). We can see transactions; we cannot initiate payments, transfers or any change to your account.
Will linking my bank affect my credit score?
No. Open banking access is not a credit application and creates no record on your credit file.
Which banks are supported?
All major UK retail banks — Monzo, Starling, Revolut, Chase, NatWest, RBS, HSBC, First Direct, Lloyds, Halifax, Barclays, Santander, Nationwide, TSB, Co-op, plus most fintech and challenger accounts. If your bank participates in UK open banking, it works.
How is cashback paid?
Cashback accrues to your Wild Card balance in-app. You can cash it out to your linked account or use it against future renewals.
How do I disconnect?
Open the Wild Card app → Settings → Banking → tap the linked account → Unlink. You can also revoke directly through your bank's mobile app at any time and the connection drops within minutes.
What happens after I disconnect?
We stop reading transactions immediately and delete the stored transaction history within 7 days. Any cashback you've already earned stays in your Wild Card balance.
